Bring Hair Alive with Himalaya Herbals!

For those who follow me on twitter, know how much I crib about my schedule and pathetic Mumbai locals. Day begins at 7 am and by the time I am back to my lovely bed, it is close to midnight. Yes, not kidding. This whole month has been one heck of a busy time due to which I was unable to blog too.

By the way, have you heard of blessings out of blue moon? Himalaya Herbals turned out to be one for me! Amidst the entire hustle bustle, Himalaya Herbals hosted an event ‘Bring Hair Alive’.

Shiny, bouncy, healthy, long, strong, and the list goes on. We all wish for such hair, don’t we?

I must say, the name of the event was intriguing enough. My hair has always been in need of rejuvenation and life, and my search stopped here.

The day was all about being pampered and give ourselves a hair spa treatment right at the comfort of home. Yes, the 6-step regime of Himalaya Herbals can be done right at home for the best hair treatment.

Himalaya Herbals Hair Care range focuses heavily on the natural ingredients which are easily available in India. The range has products ranging from Shampoos, Conditioners, Hair Creams and Oils. Whether you have hair fall, dry, damaged or dandruff hair, Himalaya Herbals has products in each category for all your hair needs.

Let’s get into the 6-step solution by following these easy steps to get you a hair spa at home. The treatment started with choosing between the Anti-Dandruff and Anti-Hair fall range. Since I have dandruff problem, the choice was made without any hesitation.
  • Step 1. Begin the spa by massaging your scalp for 10-15 minutes using the Himalaya Herbals Oil. A good massage means, good blood circulation. It relives one off stress and brings one’s hair alive.
  • Step 2. Wash your hair with lukewarm water. Shampoo it. I used the Himalaya Herbals Anti-Dandruff shampoo to not just soothe my scalp but also to get rid of dandruff.
  • Step 3. Apply a hair mask/cream from root to tip and leave in on for 15 minutes for nourishment and that desired softness.
  • Step 4. Relax and give steam to your hair for 10-15 minutes for deeper penetration. Steaming helps in opening the pores. It also helps the nourishment reach to the roots.
  • Step 5. Wash your hair again to remove the cream off it.
  • Step 6. Apply conditioner to moisturize your tresses.

Apply the conditioner on each strand and leave for 2-3 minutes. Later, wash off.

The 6-step process and a wonderful head massage not only gave me relaxation but also made my hair feel soft, smooth and nourished.

The products are natural and easily available. I have always used their Neem face wash and after this event, the hair care range has become my go-to hair care solution!

5 ways to style your midi skirt!

It is that time of the year when you finally take out all those skirts from the wardrobe. Skirts take one back to the 70s and 80s and there are plenty of ways to style one!

Let’s get into my ‘5 ways to style your midi skirt’. Yes! The Midi Skirt, my recent love. Now is the moment and it fits the season perfectly. Either you wear them with crisp collar shirts and ballerinas for work or team up with a crop top for cocktail evenings.

Check out these stylish ways and tell me which one’s your favorite!

For the Mornings

I bought this denim top a year back from Elco Market. It was something I was looking for. A knot in front, something which not just goes with denim shorts and jeans but also skirts. Paired up with sneakers, the idea is to fit the morning perfectly. A playful, carefree morning with a sling bag from India Circus. Don’t they look cute together?

How about an office look?

If you ask me, I have got bored of the regular office look. How about we play around with it a bit and add style? Pick up a crisp shirt from your wardrobe, any colour! Throw this look together with a pair of ballerinas and believe me, the day will look all freshened up. A comfortable yet stylish boardroom look, what do you think?

To add, I have a box clutch here which one can even wear as a sling. It is one of my favorite bags (Wanderlust hint, see that? Stamps and stuff.)

For the evenings

For a fun evening ahead, pair your midi skirt with a full sleeve top and a backpack and a Chic look is all yours. Don’t ask me where I bought that top from. It is some 10 years old, yes. Don’t believe me?

I particularly love the closed neck of it, team up with long earrings and you are good to go!

Late evenings and that cocktail dinner party

A form fitting, high-neck top, heels, clutch and midi skirt – perfect late evening/night look. I have kept the look simple yet elegant here. Throw some colors on with a red lipstick. Super girly and you are guaranteed a fun night!

You can’t say NO to Crop top

Nothing defines a midi skirt better than a crop top. Amp up your wardrobe with back to basics with this crop top & midi skirt. Crop tops have definitely got a chic update! What say? Will you try this look? Team up with wedges and tie up your hair for a change.

All I would say is, Go and buy a midi skirt for yourself before this summer-spring season runs out. Also, don't forget to tell me about your favorite look from the above 5!
